Name Your Beneficiary

Do you know who your beneficiary is?  The person you named years ago may not be the same person you would choose to be your beneficiary today.  Believe it or not, this important information is often overlooked and can leave your loved ones with more difficulties when sorting through your affairs.

We cannot stress enough the importance of keeping your beneficiary information current.  If you wish to update this information, please contact the Fund office or download a pension and/or annuity beneficiary card from our website.

If the reason for changing your beneficiary is the result of a divorce, additional documentation is required – a complete copy of the divorce decree/dissolution of marriage and separation agreement (if divorced more than once, copies of these documents are required for each divorce).  If your change of beneficiary is due to death of a spouse, a copy of the death certificate is required.  Please remember to enclose copies of the necessary documents with your completed beneficiary card to ensure that your beneficiary is updated promptly and properly.
